.NET Software Engineer

MoreCommerce is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team.  We are a product-driven company where design and engineering are core to what we do. We're hiring an experienced C# .NET Software Engineer to join our small and growing development team. We are a company founded by engineers that love great code. We care deeply about the actual product, user experience and the way our customers use our software.  As a member of the Engineering team, you will develop and implement technical solutions on various .NET framework products such as Auctiva, Auction Sniper, and our related mobile apps. Truth be told, most of us are full-stack engineers, so you will be making important technical decisions, collaborate with other engineers, and ensure the scalability and performance of our applications. 

What You Will Do

• Maintain and enhance our Microsoft.NET framework Applications

• Maintain/Improve quality

• Create high-quality code that is reusable and well architected

• Development or assisting in the development for new features

• Troubleshooting and debugging code

• Writing automated tests to test code

• Improving or refactoring existing code

• Working with the team to help plan out features or research possible solutions to problems

• Coming up with ideas on how we can improve the website or increase revenue

• Evolve with an ever-changing e-commerce industry

Desired Skills and Experience

Who You Are

• 3+ years professional experience profiling, debugging and troubleshooting both C# (using Visual Studio) and JS code (preferably with Chrome DevTools)

• Prior experience with properly structuring CSS/SASS

• Expert-level proficiency in C# and Javascript, jQuery, Typescript

• Good understanding of web standards, usability principles, and accessibility

• Ability to work with changing priorities, and on multiple projects

• Good understanding of web application performance

• Experience with CI/CD using Git/Team City/Jira

• Mobile experience is a plus

• Able to work independently and efficiently within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Must be a self-starter who's unafraid to display initiative and innovation

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Solid written and verbal communication. We’re moving fast and you’re expected to be able to reliably keep all internal and external parties up to date

• Collaborative in nature, with a willingness to learn and coach

• Sharp, motivated, driven, yet humble

• BS in Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience and certifications
