YOU

You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. The Structural Engineer is responsible for executing assigned engineering tasks accurately and on time while adhering to established workflows and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with requestors and team members to meet customer requirements, performing technical work under supervision, and engaging in continuous learning to improve technical capabilities. The Structural Engineer also participates in cross-functional coordination and supports special projects as directed by the Team Lead and Managers. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Service Providing

    • Implement assigned typical and custom requests with full guidance to provide structural engineering solutions, following established workflows, manuals, relevant building codes, and design standards, to fulfill customer requirements and ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

      • Run structural analysis software or service tool/application to analyze and evaluate the proposed solution for safety, compliance, constructability, and economics.

      • Prepare the calculation report/spreadsheet, drawing layout, and material quantities for the designed solution to support quoting, submission, fabrication, or installation.

    • Work with customers or team members to clarify the request’s requirements, technical issues, and provide progress updates.

  • Quality Compliance

    • Adhere to the quality system requirements to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and consistency in providing structural engineering solutions.

    • Take ownership of mistakes and actively resolve to prevent them from recurring.

  • Collaboration

    • Collaborate proactively with relevant teams to fulfill customer requests and ensure transparent information sharing among team members.

    • Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.

    • Available to support requests from other teams needing structural engineering expertise.

  • Learning & Development

    • Complete required training programs and apply acquired knowledge in daily work.

    • Engage in continuous learning to enhance work capability, performance, and support team objectives.

  • Other tasks as assigned by Line Manager

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Civil Engineering or in other relevant majors related to Construction.

  • Welcome fresher/entry/ non-experienced level. But more than 1 year of experience, especially in wood truss design, is an asset.

  • English proficiency equivalent to Level B1 of the CEFR.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Windows-based computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel.

  • Experience or coursework in CAD modeling (AutoCAD, Revit or similar software preferred).

  • Proficiency in Structural Analysis Software (ETABS, SAP2000).

  • Comprehend construction documents, including architectural and engineering drawings.

  • Ability to work independently as well as be a team player.

  • Ability to respect tight deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Good organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail, are highly required.
