This position is for an Intern role as an Azure Cloud Administrator with our Digital Marketing team. This position will report to the Manager, Digital Marketing Systems. The ideal candidate will work with multiple team members such as QA, Development, Project Management, and technical staff in adjacent business units to manage and maintain the Simon.com web and mobile environments. This individual may also interface with hosting and 3rd party vendors to install software and analyze and resolve issues. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain Azure cloud-based solutions
  • Administer virtual networking, storage accounts, and blob containers
  • Set up and configure Windows virtual machine and App Services
  • Monitor activity and performance of all Azure resources and services
  • Automate tasks using PowerShell scripting
  • User account management
  • Implement Azure Active Directory and role-based access control
  • Manage identities and access for users, groups, and applications
  • Manage Azure Update Management
  • Support application development operations
  • Stay up to date on new features and capabilities in Azure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Azure resources as needed

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a college degree in computer science or information systems
  • Familiarity with the concepts of cloud computing and resource management
  • Previous exposure to Azure DevOps and source code management is preferred
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD
  • Understanding the basic concepts of user management and Role Based Access Control is required.
  • Be competent in reviewing service and resource health reports
  • Ability to clearly communicate the results of system and resource health checks
  • Familiarity with and ability to utilize KQL queries for log analytics in Azure Log Analytics Workspaces
  • Familiarity with Azure AI Services and their capabilities
  • Ability to bring architectural design recommendations for Azure resources, virtual networking and AI Services
  • Ability to identify and remediate cyber security vulnerabilities
  • Scripting capabilities (powershell experience preferred
