Job Description

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. If you are a seasoned quality engineering professional looking to make an impact in a rewarding industry, join our team! As a Quality Engineer III, you will play a role in the execution and oversight of quality assurance processes. This position requires substantial experience in quality control, process improvement, and regulatory compliance, ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage comprehensive quality assurance programs.
  • Lead complex quality audits and assessments.
  • Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques to analyze quality data and drive improvements.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level quality engineers.
  • Develop strategies for regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate quality standards into every stage of product development.
  • Manage supplier quality assurance programs to ensure consistent quality standards.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ Years experience as a Quality Engineer or in a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. 
  • Considerable knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements.
  • Proficient ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO9001, AS9001 standards.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing and inspection.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Requirement to be on feet for a significant portion of the work shift.
  • Majority of work hours spent on a computer.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for using testing and inspection tools.
  • Occasional travel may be required for audits and supplier visits.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
