Baseline Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a university undergraduate student
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship by the company
- Graduating in 2026 or 2027 with a bachelors degree
- Located in Pacific or Central time zone; comfortable working remotely

AI Software Engineer Intern
(Research & Development focus)
Our Technology & Innovation office (T&I) is responsible for high-tech, innovative research and design. T&I provides shared platform, architecture, innovation and development services. Project assignments in this organization vary greatly depending on the business needs. At times, students may:
- Collaborate with senior AI developers to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions.
- Assist in data collection, preprocessing, and analysis to support model training and validation.
- Implement and optimize machine learning algorithms and models under guidance.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of AI applications.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI research and technology to contribute innovative ideas to the team.
- Document code, processes, and results for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Organization Requirements:
- Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Strong coding skills in Python. Other languages like Java or C++ is a plus.
- Familiarity with popular machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
- Knowledge of developing with language models is desirable.
- Understanding of fundamental concepts in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning.
- Upper classman is preferred (with prior co-op experience)
- Student must be proactive, capable of setting their own timelines, able to work independently, and disciplined
- Rapidly learn new development languages and coding techniques
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming is a must
- Understand the concept of class and inheritance
- Sharp and tenacious trouble shooting skills
- Unwaveringly passionate about solving technical challenges
- Creative, fast learner
- Independent thinker and self-motivated researcher
- Adaptable to new tasks with little lead time
