Position Overview

We are looking for an initiative-taking, creative, and energetic Lead Software Engineer to work on the development of internal web-based systems used during Software Development Lifecycle (SDL).

Those systems provide significant productivity boost for cross functional teams of R&D, QA, and Product engineers, as well as the management team.



In this role you will report to Senior Engineering Director of Software Development with the following objectives:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance efficient web-based systems, databases and dashboards used for project management, code development and testing, hiring, performance tracking, software vulnerability monitoring and other internal applications.
  • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders in defining the product enhancement roadmap with solutions addressing internal customer requirements and ensuring reliable, high quality, fast and easy to use internal products.
  • Ability to lead new projects and provide technical supervision to a small team of web/database developers.
  • Manage assigned projects including defining scope, plans, schedules, and deliverables.


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • BS/MS+ Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven Leadership and Advanced PHP Expertise.
  • Familiarity with modern software development lifecycle (SDL) flows and tools.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of developers. The ability to inspire, guide, and develop team members is crucial.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with Agile methodologies. The ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Deep expertise in PHP, including modern PHP practices and frameworks such as Laravel, Symphony.
  • Strong proficiency in both back-end and front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Vue JS).
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Experience in designing scalable and maintainable web applications. Ability to make architectural decisions and understand their long-term impacts.
  • Experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence.
  • Good knowledge of OOD, familiarity with design patterns and code refactoring is desired.
  • Knowledge of Linux is required.
  • Strong understanding of web security practices and the ability to implement secure coding standards.
  • Commitment to maintaining high code quality through practices such as code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards.
  • B2+ English, both verbal and written.
