Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Sacramento, CA is $121,451 - $162,000 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Develop information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions. Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigate problem areas. Construct comprehensive technical architecture documentation detailing the system's design and functionality. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Obtain and license software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products. Protect operations by keeping information confidential and secure. Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues. Develop detailed project schedules and scope of work to ensure clarity and alignment with project objectives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of projects and review and finalize requirements with internal and external stakeholders ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: Working with C, C++ and C# in back-end applications; Working with Git; Utilizing IDE’s including Visual studio, Vscode, Atom, brackets and Komodo edit code editors; Working with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) databases in an enterprise environment in retrieving data and for automated scripts; Working with Powershell, Gitbash, Qnx, Linux and Unix command prompts; Agile work environment usage with Jira/Confluence boards for end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC). 50% telecommuting permitted within commutable distance. 10% Domestic Travel and 5% International Travel Required.
