Join the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products R&D team as we build together technologies to create next generation of products for safe, smart, and efficient electrical circuit protection, intelligent energy source selection, intuitive power distribution, control, and monitoring.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile App Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using technologies such as React Native framework, Xamarin, Flutter, .Net MAUI, Ionic and other native technologies.
As the Software Developer, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive architecture analysis to evaluate and compare various mobile development technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprising of software/firmware, electrical hardware, mechanical, project management, verification and validation engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient mobile applications using various cross platform technologies such as React Native, Flutter etc.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Optimize app performance and user experience.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile app development.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and technical issues.
- Perform assessment of third party and open-source software components as needed for safe and secure software releases.
You will make impact if you have the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science. Advanced degree (Master’s/ PhD degree) can be substituted for industry experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience with the following:
- Building mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms
- Strong proficiency in React Native and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with APIs and backend integration and CI/CD automation experience.
- Solid understanding of mobile app development processes and lifecycles. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills is necessary.
- Writing skills to create measurable software requirements and design documentation.
- Working with electronic test equipment and measurement devices such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, DC power supplies etc.
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cross-platform build automation (e.g. Gitlab) is a plus. Familiarity with native build tools like Xcode, Android Studio, Visual Studio.
- Experience of using streamlined provisioning features (iOS certificates/profiles, Android keystores)
- Understanding of source code control systems, test automation scripting, application software and test-driven development processes is required. Knowledge of deployment workflows (e.g. TestFlight, Firebase)
- Experience developing applications using wireless IoT Network Protocols such as Bluetooth, BLE, and Wifi.
- Knowledge in the areas of secure architecture, UI/UX design principles, implementation, testing, deployment, and security hardening of cloud-based SaaS products is a plus.
- Familiarity with software testing tools such as Unity, SonarQube etc.
- Familiarity with software version control such as GIT, Rational ClearCase etc.
- Ability to convey ideas and concepts to a wide range of audiences including product management and engineers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment as part of a team.
- Produce excellent results with minimal supervision, independently debug, optimize and able to evaluate complex code base.

- The pay range for this position is $82,320 - $172,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
