Definition Strategic Projects:
• All Cat ‘C’ projects w.r.t. volume (INR 200’0 ++) and complexity
• Projects with high visibility, iconic / government projects
• International projects / cross BU projects
• Sustainability/Energy Performance Projects with high level of technicality
• Projects decided by BU management as of strategic importance.
Job Description:
• Face of the BU for entire project business and customer interface for all strategic projects.
• Responsible for complete project management cycle for all Pan India strategic projects through nominated PMs and/ or regional operations team.
• BU representative for project management / Project business excellence / all country and HQ level project business communities.
• Responsible for BU’s project business excellence and strategic initiatives for volume / margin / productivity improvement.
• Exhibit and ensure highest level of sensitivity and compliance for EHS and quality standards.
• Periodic project reviews w.r.t. project progress, risk and opportunity management, customer satisfaction, project KPIs, resource management and overall health of the project business.
• Development of vendor partners and sub-contractors for the execution of mega projects
• Evaluation and management of project risks and opportunities, interface to corporate audit for project business.
• Interface to BU HQ for project business and periodic reviews with them on strategic projects
• Coaching and mentoring entire project organization of BU towards achieving project business excellence.
• Cross BU collaboration for project execution for the projects having multiple BU involvement.
• Escalation management for all strategic projects and ensuring customer relations all the time.
• Development of project resources, internal and external for engineering / commissioning and project execution.
• Maintain and improve on project financial KPIs throughout the execution cycle.
Qualifications and experience:
• Proven people’s manager having highest level of customer intimacy.
• Business management qualification from reputed organization.
• End to end Project management experience of 15-20 years for mega projects.
• Certification for CAT B / C projects / external PMP certification and having track record of execution such projects successfully.
• Experience on complete project cycle from PM @ Siemens covering required management / Contract management / Resource management / Cost and financial management / Claims, risk and opportunity management.
• Domain Knowledge of project management in verticals like Metro / Data Centre / Government EPC projects is advisable.
• Knowledge of statutory compliances w.r.t. HR / Site establishment / EHS.
