Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be part of a global operation team, that is responsible for highly available SaaS environment according to internal and external service levels agreements. He/She should have a strong background in both DevOps and FinOps practices and will take a leading role in creating a Community of Practice (CoP) for all Infrastructure Engineers. This role involves maintaining central infrastructure and tools, representing the Infrastructure topics in product architecture reviews, leading infrastructure compliance monitoring and collaborating with R&D teams to enhance automation.

Key Responsibilities:

DevOps Engineering:
Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of infrastructure.
Strong understanding of Internet security considerations in web and application development
Provide escalated support for high-severity and critical network events
Monitor system performance, reliability, and health.

FinOps Activities:
Implement and manage cloud cost management strategies.
Analyze cloud spend and usage to provide cost-saving recommendations.
Collaborate with finance teams to create and manage budgets for cloud resources.
Implement tools and processes for cloud cost optimization

Infrastructure Community of Practice (CoP):
Establish and lead a CoP for all Infrastructure Engineers.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice discussions within the CoP.
Drive standardization and adoption of best practices across the infrastructure teams.
Organize regular CoP meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Central Infrastructure and Tools Management:
Maintain and enhance the central infrastructure and tools.
Ensure consistent and reliable infrastructure services across all teams.
Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve infrastructure efficiency.
Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and tools.

Product Architecture Representation:
Represent the Chief Infrastructure Engineers in product architecture review meetings.
Provide infrastructure-related insights and recommendations during the architecture review process.
Collaborate with product teams to ensure infrastructure considerations are integrated into product designs.

Infrastructure Compliance Monitoring:
Lead efforts to monitor and ensure infrastructure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Senior-level system administration experience, including troubleshooting, support, mentorship/training, and oversight
Develop and implement policies and procedures for infrastructure compliance.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of infrastructure compliance.
Address and mitigate compliance-related risks.

Automation Enhancement:
Work closely with R&D teams to identify opportunities for automation.
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline processes.
Enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reliability.
Promote a culture of automation and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps engineering.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure.
  • Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and management.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Experience with cloud cost management and optimization (FinOps).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, etc.).
  • Experience leading or participating in a Community of Practice (CoP).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.

  • Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS
  • Container platforms: Docker, Kubernetes(EKS/AKS), Openshift, Rancher
  • Code repositories: Gitlab
  • Logging & Monitoring: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Grafana, CloudChecker, ELK, Prometheus
  • Artifactory: jfrog, maven
  • Automation tools: Ansible, Chef, puppet, ArgoCD
  • IaC tools : Terraform, CloudFormation
