We're looking for a QA Test Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand challenges related to FPGA-based prototyping and multi-FPGA partitioning, and work on validating new tool features to address these challenges.
  • Develop and execute test plans for new product features and create testing methodologies for various FPGA-implemented technologies, such as HW-SW co-simulation, assertion-based verification, coverage, debugging, and more.
  • Use simulation, formal verification, and emulation solutions to verify FPGA design transformations.
  • Participate in functional testing, license testing, performance testing, installation testing, and GUI testing throughout the product release cycle.
  • Contribute to the validation of new hardware interface support and ensure compatibility of new hardware systems with FPGA prototyping debugger features.
  • Understand customer usage scenarios and assist with integrating customer designs into our testing environment.
  • Support the development and maintenance of build and regression testing infrastructure.
  • Report, validate, and triage defects to identify root causes, assess their severity, and address any gaps in testing.
  • Apply code coverage tools and techniques to evaluate the comprehensiveness of product testing.
  • Assist in deploying and monitoring additional qualification techniques, such as static code analysis and memory checks.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of digital/RTL design fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with hardware description languages, such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with FPGA design flow and place-and-route tools (e.g., Vivado, Quartus) is required.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Perl, or Python.
  • Experience with Siemens tools, such as simulation, synthesis, emulation, or formal verification (e.g., model checking, equivalence checking), is a plus.
  • Understanding of quality assurance concepts, software testing, test planning, and test automation tools is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking systems, configuration management, and code profiling tools is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively present ideas and share knowledge with others.
