QA/Test Engineer, DVT-QuestaSim

We are looking for a QA Test Engineer to join our team in, Cairo, Egypt.

Job Responsibilities:

• Master QuestaSim Digital Simulator with a strong understanding of the underlying technology.
• Collaborate with product engineering and development teams to gain a clear vision of newly integrated features in SIM products across consecutive releases.
• Develop, maintain, and execute product test/quality plans to ensure high functional coverage for the tested features.
• Design new test cases aligned with predefined test plans, execute test cases, and summarize findings in test summary reports.
• Participate in unit testing, regression testing, license testing, installation testing, and GUI testing throughout the release life cycle.
• Build a test automation framework to eliminate manual testing rework and reduce turnaround time.
• Develop product build and regression test infrastructure.
• Understand customer usage profiles for simulation-based verification and assist in integrating customer designs into test environments.
• Conduct product benchmarking and performance measurement iterations to capture tool performance data across releases.
• Identify product quality attributes and define processes to enhance these attributes throughout the development cycle.
• Verify final product conformance to pre-specified quality exit criteria and make release decisions accordingly.
• Report, validate, and triage defects to determine root causes and assess criticality for R&D teams.
• Apply code coverage techniques/tools to quantitatively assess product test coverage.
• Assist in deploying and monitoring qualification techniques such as static code analysis (Lint), dynamic code analysis, and memory leakage checks.

Job Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Digital/RTL design fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Hardware Description Languages (Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog) is required.
• Familiarity with UVM is a plus.
• Knowledge of assertion specification languages such as PSL, SVA, or OVL is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Linux Shell, Python, or Perl is required.
• Experience with automation tools for desktop applications, such as Squish, and frameworks like Qt is an advantage.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web frameworks, and RESTful APIs for testing web applications is a plus.
• Understanding of quality assurance concepts and software testing.
• Knowledge of testing strategies, test planning, and test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with UI/UX, defect tracking systems, configuration management, and code profiling tools is a plus.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is an advantage.
• Proficiency in documenting test results, reporting bugs, and collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to improve software quality.
• Excellent communication skills and a self-motivated approach with a strong capability for continuous learning.
