The Smart Infrastructure Division is one of the leading global suppliers of products, systems, solutions, and services for the sustainable, reliable and efficient transmission, distribution and control of electrical energy.

As a Proposal engineer you are responsible for creating and designing Low Voltage Switchgear solutions for large Data Center projects in the EMEA and APAC region. You will work closely with our technical account managers, other proposal engineers, product managers and R&D departments within our company. Together you will contribute to efficient and sustainable data center solutions that meet the design requirements a of our customers.
We are looking for a Proposal Engineer for Low Voltage switchgear solutions. What does your work consist of within this position?
  • Designing the smart solution for/with the customer;
  • Costing of the proposed solution;
  • Designing optimal solutions for/with the customer;
  • Conveying the solution to the customer by means of a technical and commercial proposal;
  • Participate in large complex multidisciplinary projects;
  • Contributing to internal improvement processes;
What do you need to qualify for this position?
  • Experience with electrical distribution systems (MV/LV) and protection systems;
  • Knowledge of applicable IEC standards (like IEC 61439)
  • Flexible work attitude, practical, accurate and result-oriented;
  • Customer focused and with commercial mindset;
  • Communicative, involved, stress resistant and able to act within a dynamic environment;
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, written and spoken;
  • 40-hour workweek.
  • Completed Bachelor or Master degree (Electrical engineering preferably) with at least 5 years of experience in proposals;
In this position you will be part of the "Smart Infrastructure" and the "Electrification & Automation" department for data centers in an enthusiastic, young and diverse international team of professionals. A team that depends and helps each other in this dynamic fast growing environment with challenging projects.
