The Team
You will be part of the procurement team in Den Haag, consisting of your manager Michael and colleagues Angela, Jana, Lisa, Doruk, Jerry, Jip, Kutlay and Willem. A close-knit diverse team with different cultural background, where cooperation, respect, honesty and humor are key. The working language is alternately English and Dutch.

You’ll be part of the Siemens Center of Competence for Data Center Projects who delivers a full range of power distribution systems and solutions, which is based in The Hague, Erlangen and Chennai. The complexity in our projects is determined by size, speed, location(s) and continuous pressure in realisation. In other words, dynamic projects with great clients.

As Project Procurement Manager, you will have a lot of contact with colleagues from other departments, such as sales, bid management, engineers, project management and project controllers. In addition to this support, you will also be involved in important topics such as supplier management, quality management, process optimisation, sustainability and digitisation.

You will make a difference by:
  • Focus on procurement of integrated solutions, such as e-houses, skids or similar technical equipment
  • Participate at project meetings from acquisition phase to the execution phase to advice on procurement matters, executing the project specific procurement scope and drive the implementation of the procurement strategies for projects
  • Being part of a commodity team and create and maintain a sustainable international supplier base
  • Lead and Coordinate Requests for Quotations
  • Lead contract negotiations and secure price agreements with various suppliers
  • Lead the supplier selection, prepare and document contract awards
  • Participate in improvement projects within procurement, such as providing insight into processes, savings and efficiency gains.

Helping us drive our future vision, your toolkit may include some of these key skills: 
  • Several years of experience in contracting of international suppliers (Project Agreement and/or Framework Agreements)
  • Have 10+ year of experience in project procurement with appx 5+ years thereof in the field of procuring technical equipment
  • A strong communicator and are fluent in English (and Dutch) both verbally and in writing
  • You have a keen eye; you easily take initiative, analytical, stress resistant, practical and result-orientated
  • A completed bachelor's degree in procurement management or supply chain management or a completed NEVI 1 procurement training (or equivalent education or experience)
