MRI is a highly dynamic clinical tool to detect, characterize and monitor diseases to improve patient care. AI has already radically changed MRI and will bring further transformative changes in the future. Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You develop and release novel AI algorithms to improve image quality, workflow and data analysis in MRI
• You conduct original research resulting in patent applications and scientific publications
• You monitor scientific trends in the field of AI with focus on medical imaging
• You contribute to collaborations with our global academic partners to drive MR research and translate this knowledge into MR products
• You learn from the evaluation and feedback from customers to improve our solutions
• You participate in the knowledge exchange with our R&D team to improve and further develop our products and software solutions

Your qualifications and experience:

• You hold a university degree in the field of Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or equivalent; a PhD degree is a plus
• You have solid experience in developing AI methods and machine learning, ideally in a medical imaging context
• You are familiar with the current trends in the AI community, especially concerning diffusion-, image foundation- and large language models
• You have profound Python and C++ programming skills, as well as experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. TernsorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Ideally, you have a strong expertise in MR imaging techniques and MR programming tools, clinical applications as well as data science
