We are seeking an Electrical Engineering student intern to join our team, providing support in power system calculations and renewable energy integration. This internship offers hands-on experience with industry-leading power system analysis tools, including PSSE, PSS® SINCAL, and PSS® DE. As an intern, you will contribute to the integration of renewable energy sources within power systems.

You’ll create impact by:
  • Power System Modeling and Analysis: Assist in developing and analyzing power system models for transmission and distribution networks in PSSE, PSS® SINCAL, and PSS® DE.
  • Renewable Energy Integration: Support integration studies for renewable energy sources, evaluating grid impact and proposing solutions for seamless integration.
  • Load Flow and Fault Analysis: Conduct load flow, short-circuit, and fault analyses to assess network reliability, stability, and security.
  • Data Collection and Pre-Processing: Collect, validate, and prepare data required for simulations and modeling.
  • Simulation and Scenario Testing: Perform simulations on various grid scenarios, testing for contingencies, and supporting dynamic stability studies.
  • Report Preparation: Document findings, generate
Your defining qualities:
  • Educational Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of power systems and interest in renewable energy sources.
  • Software Familiarity: Exposure to or willingness to learn PSSE, PSS® SINCAL, and PSS® DE.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems, interpret data, and provide insights.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to document findings and collaborate with the engineering team.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy in calculations and modeling
