What will you do?

As a Factory Supporter – Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in bridging communication between the Queretaro Factory assembly lines and the MV-US Engineering team during the manufacturing of Medium Voltage Switchgear.

The Medium Voltage (MV) Business Unit of Siemens Energy is looking for highly qualified and energetic Engineers for out Air Insulated Switchgear Business Segment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Risk Management: Identify potential design-related risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize defects in engineering and drafting deliverables.

• Analyze the customer’s technical specifications regarding the application of Siemens AIS products along with associated protection and control systems and design appropriate product solutions to meet the customers’ expectations cost-effectively and in a timely manner. Create all documents for customer approval and manufacturing of energy management equipment.

• Be critical to a designed-order business focused on unique customer requirements.

• Work with application engineering, project management, sales, and customers to resolve technical issues.

• Help improve our products by working collaboratively to identify design enhancements and then working to integrate them.

• Work on developing and implementing new software design solutions for the team.

• Factory Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing teams to address production challenges and ensure smooth implementation of designs.

Job Requirements:

• Intermediete English.

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Ability to read, understand and evaluate electrical schematics to identify errors or potential improvements.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done with high quality and in a professional manner.

• Ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

• Proven experience with Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to multitask, managing large workloads and business demands.

• An ideal candidate is detailed orientated and able to embrace a culture of quality.

• Must be physically present in the Balvanera Office.

Siemens Products Supported by This Role:

• GM-SG Medium Voltage Switchgear.

• SIMOVAC Medium Voltage Motor Controllers.

Considered a plus but not required:

• +3 years of Electrical design/drafting experience with protection and control or engineering firms.

• Electrical design/drafting experience with Engineering Base (Microsoft Visio) and/or AutoCAD Electrical

• A Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus with extra consideration given if degree concentration is in the area of power systems.

• Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL and NEMA standards for MV Switchgear.

• Experience creating and working with CAD smart blocks

• Experience with electrical design for medium voltage switchgear

• Working knowledge of standard protection and control technologies used in medium voltage power distribution products.
