Engineering Project Controller

What will your team look like? 

Most of the team is based in Germany, including the management. In Prague, you will be part of the Engineering team, with whom you will closely collaborate. The project manager, with whom you will be in daily contact regarding the project, will also be located in Prague, which will greatly facilitate your mutual communication.

Key responsibilities:

• You will take over the economic control of the project for regional railways, including budget oversight, reporting, analysis and documentation of deviations, and creating forecasts.
• You will closely collaborate with the technical and project manager and the engineering team and will be the contact person for the commercial project manager.
• You will have an up-to-date overview of the financial status of the engineering part of rail vehicle projects.
• You will ensure the control of invoices and accounting records.
• You are expected to take a proactive approach in improving project management processes and tools.

What do we expect from you?

• Very good knowledge of German or English. Both languages are a great advantage.
• Education in finance with a focus on financial management, accounting, or controlling.
• Relevant work experience in project controlling or commercial project management.
• Experience with Siemens Mobility’s business/financial processes and knowledge of the Rolling Stock structure is a great advantage.
• Ability to work in a team but also be independent and promote new ideas.
• Analytical skills and IT skills, as well as a structured and organized work style.
• User knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
• SAP is an advantage, as well as Dash applications (PowerBI, Qlikview).
