Engineering Lead

The Hardware Assisted Verification (HAV) division is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join the ICE Solutions R&D team in Cairo, Egypt. This team oversees all ICE products and specializes in the development of "Speed Adaptor" and "At Speed" solutions crucial for SOC design verification using in circuit emulation mode across various Emulation and FPGA prototyping platforms.

Main responsibilities

• Lead the development of speed bridges across all HAV platforms.
• Maintain high-level RTL code standards and ensure adherence to stringent code quality benchmarks.
• Expertise in diverse interconnect and networking protocols.
• Design and develop intricate block-level and chip-level digital designs for ICE solutions, prioritizing superior quality and timely delivery.
• Proficiency in comprehending complex product architectures, solutions, and challenges.
• Introduce cutting-edge technology and knowledge into multiple facets of the product.
• Draft functional and design specifications.
• Foster effective collaboration between internal and overseas development teams, manage task interdependencies, and provide clear guidance on implementation details.
• Mentor and guide both junior and senior hardware engineers, promoting continuous learning and advancement.
• Provide technical leadership and support to the development team.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, fostering a collaborative review process to uphold code integrity and excellence.
• Ensure overall functional quality across released products on all platforms.

Knowledge & Experience Needed

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• +8 years of experience in RTL/Logic design for ASICs, FPGA IP blocks, or SOCs using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Proficient in Verilog HDL or VHDL.
• Strong understanding of protocols such as PCIe, CXL, UFS, Ethernet, NVMe.
• Experience in logic synthesis and synthesis report analysis.
• Knowledge of Embedded programming is advantageous.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl/Shell scripting is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and share knowledge effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at handling complex technical challenges.
