Cloud Engineer (DevOps)

We are looking for a talented and driven Cloud Engineer with a strong background in cloud operations and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for cloud environments. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and scaling of cloud-based infrastructure, as well as developing and maintaining automated deployment pipelines for cloud applications. 

What are my responsibilities?

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure on AWS (preferred) or Azure, applying best practices and maintaining compliance standards.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and delivery of cloud applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement APIs, ensuring efficient performance and scalability.
• Design and implement ready-for-production MLOps pipelines.
• Monitor and manage cloud environments, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
• Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, deployment pipelines, and operational processes.
• Proactively exchange knowledge with Siemens Cloud/DevOps stakeholders.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical and electronics engineering or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of Hands-on experience in cloud development, on AWS, Microsoft Azure and DevOps.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms: AWS(preferred), Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of automation scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or Shell scripting).
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
• Deep knowledge of AWS/Azure computing, storage, logging and monitoring, auditing and security services.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines with versioning, such as Git or GitLab.
• Experience in relational and NoSQL databases, as well as data migration
• Shown understanding of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable data stores.
• Certified in one of the cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure (Certified Solutions Architect/Developer/DevOps Engineer) etc.
• Good knowledge of network architecture and configuration (VNet, subnet, IP ranges, Security Groups, Routing tables, Gateways, VPN, etc.) Terraform.
• First-hand experience of how to deploy, monitor and improve ML applications in production (MLOps and LLMOps)
• Understanding of cloud security standard methodologies, including network security, identity and access management, and encryption in the cloud.
• Excellent command of English
• Expert in problem-solving with a strong focus on debugging and optimizing cloud applications.
