AI Agents for Active Cybersecurity Defense (Research Intern)

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Research Intern to join our team in Princeton, New Jersey. This role is ideal for a PhD student passionate about advancing autonomous cyber defense strategies and causal inference techniques. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in supporting research activities by working on state-of-the-art research to address challenges posed by sophisticated cyber threats like Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs).

This opportunity offers hands-on experience in applying cutting-edge methods, such as causal modeling and Monte Carlo tree search, to develop optimal defender strategies for network security. You will contribute to innovative projects in the areas of optimal decision-making, cybersecurity, machine learning, and causal inference. We leverage these techniques to enhance computational efficiency and decision-making in real-world cybersecurity scenarios.

As part of a dynamic team, you will collaborate closely with other interns, senior researchers, and project leads, offering your expertise while gaining invaluable experience in a cutting-edge, technological environment. Your contributions will not only drive the project towards success but also shape the future of automation of cyber defense strategies. The pay range for this position is $36.00-$45.00. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
