Shutterfly’s software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how millions of users will purchase personalized products. We're looking for seasoned engineers who will help us define and implement fresh ideas from all areas.
We are looking for a senior engineer for our Marketing Platform  team. The mandate for this team is to envision, develop, and manage the systems and workflows that enable Shutterfly to generate personalized marketing activations for each customer and to recommend them the right content at the right time. A huge challenge!

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications: 
  • 5 years of experience in Backend services programming, preferably in Python
  • Working with databases, networking, and distributed computing 
  • Familiarity with Linux or Unix based Operating Systems 
  • Experience with cloud computing, preferably AWS 
  • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset 
  • Can-do attitude, and passion about software and systems 
  • A B.Sc. in computer science or related field from a top university
