The Role
As Shotgun grows, so does our ambition. We're branching out into new territories, inaugurating fresh ventures, and, in the process, assembling new teams. Our pathway to success lies in our analytical rigor and exhaustive exploration of every opportunity.
You'll join one of our squads, in charge of Shotgun's core product.
As the Product Data Analyst, you are one of the squad analytical partner: you turn data into decisions and recommendations, you make sure no product decision is made without a data foundation, and you are a guardian of data quality and reliability within your scope.
What you will do
Define and monitor the squad and tribe metrics, and educate the team and business stakeholders on how to read them
Run opportunity research and discovery analyses to influence the roadmap, and give actionable recommendations
Monitor projects after launch: dashboards, communication of results, recommendations for the roadmap
Build and keep up to date the context source of truth (metric definitions, business rules, documentation) that our AI analytics agent rely on
Own the new features tracking analytics
Review production database modeling for quality and consistency
Maintain dbt models and data access for your scope
Own the strategy and implementation of A/B tests when relevant
Analyze product bugs: quantify their impact and help prioritize fixes
Contribute to the Data Platform (dbt, Snowflake, Airbyte) beyond your squad scope
Take part in the ecosystem: you can join immersions to run product tests and get closer to our users and organizers, also using qualitative data to build-up your opinions
The job is for you if
Must have
You have 1 to 3 years of experience, including a first experience (internship or first job) with data-heavy tasks (Excel, Google Sheets, dashboards, SQL, automation, Python)
You have a strong analytical mind and a solid academic background
You are comfortable with numbers and want to go deeper into SQL, Python, dashboards and product metrics
You have a strong appetite for the product
You are fluent in French and English
Nice to have
B2B product experience
Airbyte, dbt, Metabase, Hex, Snowflake, PostHog (willingness to learn is a requirement)
Advanced use of AI tools (agents, automation, context)
A passion for entertainment: music, gaming, events
👪 Note to women and underrepresented groups: We value diversity because it’s essential for creativity and healthy growth. If you don’t meet 100% of the requirements but are excited by this role, please apply 🙏
Who you are
Humble and simple: we set the bar high but don't take ourselves too seriously
Curious: you want to dig and understand
Owner and organized: autonomous, you drive projects and move the team forward
Rigorous: you care about details and you can challenge an analysis
A great communicator: you make the numbers speak, in writing and out loud, and you can present technical or analytical topics to different audiences without losing them
A team player in a cross-functional squad (PM, designer, developers)
Comps & Perks
Company health insurance Alan (Shotgun covers 50% of contributions)
Swile restaurant vouchers (50% covered by the employer, restaurant voucher value of 9 euros)
50% reimbursement of transportation pass (Navigo-type pass, public service bike subscription)
Sustainable mobility bonus to encourage green transportation (set at 35 euros/month)
A Gymlib subscription (access to sports and wellness facilities at reduced prices; Shotgun covers part of the subscription)
