We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Intern with a passion for software quality to join our dynamic QA team and contribute to delivering world-class solutions.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As an SDET intern in Shift Technology’s QA team, part of the greater Engineering team, we will task you with one of the test automation initiatives we have in the QA Department. As a member of the QA team, you will participate in some global QA activities.
Test automation initiatives:
- A spike to create a UI performance test automation framework
- You will learn about performance testing at Shift Technology.
- You will set up an infrastructure, environment, etc…Gather requirements from the Dev/Infra/QA teams.
- You will create POCs on UI performance tests.
- You could integrate the performance tool(s) within the company’s processes and CI/CD.
- A spike to enhance our UI test automation framework with AI
- You will learn about the UI test automation framework at Shift Technology.
- You will setup an infrastructure with Shift AI’s.
- You will investigate how AI can enhance Code and functional test Coverage.
- You will investigate how AI can enhance test automation code.
- You will investigate how AI can generate test automation code.
- You will investigate other possibilities with AI…
- You could integrate the AI within the company’s processes and CI/CD.
Throughout the internship, you will be assigned a QA mentor who will guide you through the entire lifecycle of testing in a SaaS AI environment, helping you learn and grow while contributing to real-world projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Must:
- Enrolled in a Master’s degree or completing your final year in an Engineering School that can provide an Internship Agreement ("Convention de Stage").
- Available for a 6-month onsite internship in Paris, France.
- Experience in software development. You have coding skills and understand how software development works.
- Experience in software quality and testing concepts.
- Proactive, dynamic, and eager to learn, with a curiosity for improving systems and solving complex problems. You take ownership of your work.
- A team player who enjoys contributing to collaborative projects and thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Fluency in English is essential, and a good command of French is a big plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, K6).
- Experience with Azure AI Platform.
- Knowledge of JavaScript UI testing.
- Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or similar.
