Senior Product Design Engineer

OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for dynamic, creative, talented, inspirational and committed Design Engineer to deliver an extraordinary pipeline of new products for the fastest-growing consumer product business in the world. The role will be responsible for new product design development across a range of different products.

LOCATION: ShenZhen, China

Here are some of the EXCITING things you’ll get to do:

• Mechanical product design and development in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide 3D CAD work for prototyping and support prototype build and evaluation.
• Communication with the global engineering teams on design requirement and technical issues
• Reviewing cost BOM and Tooling Plan, provide cost down solution.
• Joint accountability in timely delivery of new products with market value to market.
• Follow up off tool parts evaluation, fixtures and processes validation.
• Attend global calls to give project update.
• Communicate with the global engineering teams on design requirement and technical issues
• Travel to supplier factory / staying in factory is required

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

• degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, or any related disciplines.
• 5+ years of working experience in engineering field with solid experience in mechanical design.
• Good communication skills in English (Verbal and Written)
• 3D CAD (Creo) proficiency, design experience in multiple processes such as: plastic injection molding, die-casting, sheet metal, machining processes, and assembly processes.
• Use of Design tool such as Tolerance Stacks, DFMEA, DFM, FEA, DOE etc.
• Willingly shares own experiences and learning to help others develop; gains learning from others.
• A broad view and understanding of the product development process, and effective experience leading multi-disciplined team efforts to solve issues by identifying RC and CA through analysis and testing.
• Proven ability to implement design changes and pushing technology limits while balancing feasibility criteria such as manufacturability, cost, technology risk, implementation schedule.
