Global Director of Network Engineering

Job Description:

SharkNinja is seeking an experienced and visionary Global Director of Network Engineering to lead our network infrastructure strategy and operations on a global scale. As the Global Director of Network Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust and scalable network architecture to support our international business operations. You will ensure network reliability, security, and performance while driving innovation and efficiency across our global network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the strategic vision for SharkNinja's global network infrastructure, aligning it with business goals and objectives across all regions.
• Global Network Architecture: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions to support our global operations, including data centers, cloud services, and remote locations.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of network engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement across different regions.
• Network Operations: Oversee the day-to-day network operations on a global scale, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of all network components.
• Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices globally to protect our data and infrastructure. Ensure compliance with relevant international regulations and standards.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with network service providers, hardware and software vendors, and other third-party partners globally to ensure quality and cost-effective solutions.
• Budgeting and Planning: Develop and manage the global network engineering budget, including capital and operational expenses. Plan for future network growth and capacity needs across all regions.
• Innovation and Optimization: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in network technologies and processes, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies on a global scale.
• Incident Management: Lead the response to network incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences globally.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business units, to ensure alignment and support for global network initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 7 years in a leadership role managing global network infrastructures.
• Proven experience in designing and managing complex global network infrastructures, including data centers, cloud environments, and international networks.
• In-depth knowledge of network technologies, protocols, and security practices, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and experience with security tools and technologies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing global teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across different regions.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCIE, CISSP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking) are a plus.
• Experience with global compliance and regulatory requirements is a plus.
