Infrastructure Backend Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Backend Engineer to join our R&D team with a focus on infrastructure, quality, and monitoring. In this role, you will work closely with both development and infrastructure teams to build and maintain tools, frameworks, and monitoring solutions that ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and deliver high-quality performance. This position involves working on projects that enhance our testing capabilities, improve infrastructure automation, and implement sophisticated monitoring solutions that deliver insights into our platform’s health.

• Design and implement infrastructure tools to improve efficiency, reliability, and automation across our backend systems.
• Develop and enhance testing frameworks to increase coverage and quality for various backend services, including functional, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish best practices for monitoring and alerting, helping to build a proactive approach to issue detection and resolution.
• Build and maintain monitoring and observability tools, creating dashboards and metrics to provide visibility into the health and performance of services.
• Identify and address system bottlenecks to ensure scalability and high availability of infrastructure.
• Work closely with DevOps to integrate automated testing and monitoring solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies that enhance quality, monitoring, and reliability.

• 3+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with a focus on infrastructure and quality.
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, Typescript, or similar.
• Experience with testing tools and frameworks for backend systems, including unit, integration, and load testing.
• Proven experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cloud-native tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with build and deployment automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing infrastructure challenges.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes - an advantage.
• Background in infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) - an advantage.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and its implications on monitoring and testing - an advantage.
• Understanding of security best practices and experience with security-focused infrastructure solutions - an advantage.
