Senior Software Engineer

What are we looking for?

The Threat Services organization seeks an experienced Software Engineer to join our WatchTower Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in back-end programming and a passion for creating robust, scalable, and efficient applications.
This team is responsible for building software tools for threat hunters and their integrations with other SentinelOne services. This role is a rare opportunity to join an experienced engineering team and contribute to team culture, architecture, design, and delivery of new systems.

What will you do? 

• Lead and contribute to creating new tools and services, as well as improving existing solutions.
• You will help us build the next-generation threat-hunting tools using modern technologies such as Python (FastAPI, Celery), Redis, Docker, Kubernetes and contribute to the building of the test environment and infrastructure (PyTest). 
• Design for scalability, security, and reliability across a global environment
• You will help identify areas for proactive improvement based on team findings.
• You will be involved in the whole SW development process - from product discovery, through designing architecture, implementation and testing to delivery to production and subsequent monitoring.

What experience and knowledge should you bring?

• 5+ Proven experience as a Python Engineer, especially in writing performant and scalable FastAPI applications. Bonus points for proficiency in Celery.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
• Experience with PyTest
• Understanding user requirements and leading the solution delivery, along with attention to details
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

It’d be great if you have experience with / or You’d learn & gain on our team:

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD
• Communication and organization in distributed teams
