What You Will Be Doing:
The right candidate will be responsible for research, design and development of security / networking software for ThreatDefend Platforms. The right candidate will get an opportunity to research in new domains, innovate, and help build a world-class product in a startup environment. Primary focus would be to develop robust, reliable and maintainable security and networking software on Linux Operating systems on Desktops and Servers. The right candidate has to ensure adherence to the software development process, including proper code review and unit-testing of all developed modules.
What Qualifications and Skills You Will Need:
- BE/ME (Computer Science) with 4 to 8 years of experience
- Experience working independently on developing software for enterprise-grade products like firewalls, routers, switches, VPN concentrators, etc.
- Ability to engineer and implement solutions to diverse security and networking issues
- Excellent knowledge in at least one scripting and one programming language (C, Python preferred)
- Strong experience with Linux OS internals and prior work in building virtualized / containerized environments
- Experience designing, developing, and unit-testing complex products and solutions involving Cloud (GCP / AWS), Kubernetes, microservices, and containers
- Good understanding of L2 / L3 Protocols, routing protocols, socket programming and general networking concepts
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong team player with a willingness to proactively interact with the team and achieve results in a dynamic, fast-growing environment
