Senior Design Engineer

A Senior Design Engineer with Automotive background, experience in CATIA and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). In this active role, you will apply your demonstrated experience within our collaborative and vibrant team to promote sustained growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Promote teamwork among colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the timely achievement of project objectives and enhance overall success.
• Develop CAD designs for significant multiyear original equipment (OE) partner initiatives.
• Utilise CATIA to create intricate 3D CAD models and 2D engineering schematics.
• Engage in parametric modeling for new vehicle components.
• Contribute to projects involving roof racks, bull bars, and other products for OE clients.
• Design components using extruded aluminum, resin molding, and pressed or fabricated sheet metal, adhering to high OE standards.
• Convert surface data into functional products that comply with OE-level Design Validation.
• Optimize designs through Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Manage the entire process from design through to the establishment of test rigs and conducting tests.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and oversee timelines in accordance with their schedules.

Job Description

• Possess a mechanical engineering, Product Design, or a related field (OEM experience is a plus).
• Demonstrate strong skills in parametric 3D CAD modeling.
• Proficiency in CATIA; Solidworks experience is a plus.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Knowledgeable in structural and resin parts/systems, with an understanding of material properties.
• +5 years of experience in a design engineering role, preferably in product development.
• Exhibit proven analytical abilities with an emphasis on innovation.
• Be a self-motivated individual, comfortable with customer engagement and organized to adhere to customer timelines.
• Show drive, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continuous improvement to achieve exceptional results.
