What are we looking to add to our team? 

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join our backend engineering team. This role involves working with large-scale distributed systems that process and analyze vast amounts of data while handling millions of requests per minute. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend services that power SeekOut's core platform. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about building robust distributed systems and have strong experience with container orchestration, data processing, and cloud infrastructure. This is a hybrid role with the expectation to come in to our Bellevue office as required. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Designing and implementing scalable backend services that handle millions of requests per minute  

• Building and maintaining data processing pipelines using Spark / Databricks  

• Working with container orchestration platforms, primarily Kubernetes  

• Designing and implementing microservices using RESTful APIs and gRPC. 

• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment  

• Concurrently work on new feature development and resolving customer-reported issues 

• Independently creating clarity from ambiguous requirements 

• Taking ownership of feature areas and delivering consistent improvements  

What you should have: 

• 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on backend systems  

• Strong programming skills in C# and/or Python  

• Experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems  

• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases  

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex production issues

Base Salary Hiring Range: $103,800 to $147,370 annually.
