Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer with deep Data Engineering expertise to join Sedric in building next-generation, AI-powered financial products. You'll architect robust data pipelines, design scalable data systems, and work directly with leading global financial institutions as they adopt cutting-edge AI solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and backend systems that process and analyze large volumes of financial data, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Build and optimize data orchestration workflows to support real-time and batch processing needs.
- Create optimized data models and schemas across PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and NoSQL systems that accelerate ML model training, reduce analytics query times, and customer-facing applications.
- Implement data quality monitoring and validation frameworks to ensure data integrity across pipelines.
- Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in backend development with a minimum of 3 years in data engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python with experience in data processing frameworks (Advantage if you have experience with data processing frameworks).
- Deep expertise in database systems: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, S3, and Snowflake, including optimization and schema design.
- Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions).
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, including Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, etc.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with streaming data platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance.
- Experience with IaC frameworks such as CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform.
