About the Role
As the Head of Solutions Engineering, you will lead our team of Solutions Engineers who support the Account Executives globally. Your job is to coach and enable the team, provide development and career guidance, on-board and train new Solution Architects / Sales Engineers, and provide senior technical leadership in the sales team. You also will have a lead role in ongoing communication and collaboration with our Product and Engineering teams for roadmap planning.
For success in this role, you will need to have been a strong individual contributing Sales Engineer in your career, and also have a demonstrated track record of leading Field Sales Engineering teams of 5+ in a distributed remote environment.
Equally important, once you start at SecurityScorecard you will need to develop a deep understanding of our architecture and services, and effectively coach and train the team for maximum effectiveness on translating client business needs into effective technical solutions.
What you'll do:
- Serve as the lead domain expert on SecurityScorecard solutions
- Field CTO for Revenue Team, acting as key technical stakeholder in strategic conversations with customer, prospects, and analysts
- Onboard, train and enable Sales Engineers
- Provide senior technical presence on key large transactions when needed
- Experience leading senior technical leaders
- Experience managing global teams
- Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services
- Communicate field feedback on product roadmaps, technical requirements, and market trends to internal teams
- Create, improve, and maintain Sales Engineering tool-kit, demos, POC playbooks, etc.
- Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for selected key customers, partners and prospects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of technical sales or pre-sales experience within CyberSecurity market as an individual contributing Sales Engineer
- 4+ years of experience leading Sales Engineering teams
- Industry recognized certifications such as a CISSP, GIAC, etc. a plus
- Customer Obsessed
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, driven and focused
- Leads by example

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $225,000 - 300,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards and equity, among other company benefits.
