Job Description

As an Airport Security Officer: Full Time Patrol Driver in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government airport location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors. Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age

• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently

• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other airport stakeholders while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and potential policy violations to appropriate airport personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow as assigned while maintaining professional communication and detailed activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
