Solution Architect Brazil

ScyllaDB is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to support Pre-Sales and Proof-of-Concept activities. The ideal candidate is a productive hands-on professional who enjoys a fast-paced growing company environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect  Engagements –Team with ScyllaDB sales organization to drive Prospect  value and adoption of ScyllaDB technologies. The SA is responsible for the “Technical Win” of any opportunity.
• Solutions Enablement – provide technical review and recommendations to deploy Scylla in production. Help prospects set, maintain, and benchmark Scylla during Proof-of-Concept phases.    
• Solutions creation – develop and document solutions using Scylla. Create integration documents and benchmarks of third parties tools with ScyllaDB products. 
• Training – develop training material for Scylla customers and  create and deliver training for Scylla users.
• Collaboration - Collaborate and work with other SA’s and also be the liaison between Scylla customers and the product management/engineering team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with PreSale/SA  role
• Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Experience working in a Startup environment
• 2+ years of NoSQL database deployment/management, including data modeling and application deployment using NoSQL database (Cassandra/Datastax, MongoDB, Redis, etc)
• Solid understanding of a  modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js,) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#)
• Experience using Spark, Kafka, Time Series, and Graph Databases
• Undergraduate degree in engineering or computer science or similar field
• Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal
• Well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously  
• Excellent with people to interact with staff, colleagues, and customers
• Proven ability to go deep technically and understand our product intimately
• The ability to travel up to 25%
