Deployment Engineer - EMEA

Department: Engineering

Location: Western Europe - Remote

Compensation: €65K – €85K • Offers Equity

Employment Type: FullTime

ScorePlay is the AI-powered media infrastructure for sports, built to automate the content operations behind the world's biggest sports organizations. We work with 300+ leagues, competitions, teams and broadcasters – including Ligue 1 and Premier League clubs, NBA and NFL teams, the Tour de France, the Australian Open, and leading bodies like UEFA and FIBA – helping them turn every moment on and off the field into high-value, structured content. Our platform brings all their media into one place and makes it effortless to find, edit and share in seconds.

Founded in 2021, we’re a 50-person team based between New York and Paris, growing 2x year over year with 98% retention. We’ve raised $20M+ from top investors including Alexis Ohanian and Harry Stebbing’s 20VC and elite athletes like Kevin Durant, Raphaël Varane, Mario Götze, Nico Rosberg and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

If you’re passionate about sports and thrive in fast-paced environments - and you want to help shape how the next generation of fans experience sports, you’re in the right place. We’re on track to become the global leader in sports media, and this is definitely the best time to join our adventure.

Context

We're entering a new phase at ScorePlay: scaling from lighter deployments to highly structured rollouts for larger, more complex sports and broadcast organizations. These clients come with ambitious, unique needs, and that's exactly where the Delivery team operates.

As a Delivery Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of engineering and customer success. Half the job is leading technical deployments from kickoff to go-live. The other half is more interesting: when a top-tier client needs something tailor-made, you're the one who designs and builds it.

What you'll do:

1. Build tailor-made solutions for our biggest clients

  • Take on client-specific technical challenges that call for creative, bespoke solutions beyond standard configuration.

  • Design and ship pragmatic solutions using whatever gets the job done: existing tools, APIs, AI tooling, custom code.

  • Pioneer new territory. You'll often be the first to tackle a challenge, with real freedom in how you solve it.

  • The best of what you build gets absorbed into the product. You'll work with Engineering when that happens.

2. Lead solution deployment and integration

  • Own the end-to-end technical deployment of ScorePlay for our largest new clients, from kickoff through go-live.

  • Configure, integrate, and adapt ScorePlay to client workflows: APIs, SSO, cloud storage, broadcast partners, on-prem and hybrid setups.

  • Operate and monitor media ingest and archive migrations, bringing large volumes of existing content into ScorePlay.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during onboarding as the client's primary technical contact.

3. Work directly with customers

  • Build trusted relationships with client technical teams (IT, broadcast, media, integrators) throughout deployments.

  • Run technical workshops to align on architecture, workflows, and constraints.

  • Travel occasionally for kickoffs and key deployments alongside CS.

  • Translate customer needs into clear technical requirements for internal teams.

4. Partner across Delivery, CS, Product and Engineering

  • Work daily with the Delivery team (you'd be the third engineer) and closely with Customer Success on scoping, onboarding, and handover.

  • Collaborate with Pre-Sales to validate feasibility of what's being sold and prepare complex deployments.

  • Bring structured feedback from the field to Product and Tech.

  • Help build the playbook: standard steps, documentation, templates, and process improvements.

Why ScorePlay?

A few signs you might love this job:

  • You get energy from open problems and blank canvases. Give you five tools and a goal, and you'll find the path.

  • You're genuinely up to date on what AI can do today, and you use it daily to build and solve faster.

  • You want to be hands-on with real-world systems: media, archives, workflows, integrations. Not slideware.

  • You like owning the result, not one ticket in the project.

  • Your agenda is driven by real client needs, not a rigid roadmap. You move fast and see your work go live in weeks, not quarters.

  • You're motivated by direct impact: seeing world-class sports organizations use what you built.

  • You want an international, sports-focused team working with top clubs, leagues and media organizations from Paris, New York and beyond.

What an ideal candidate looks like:

  • A real software engineering foundation. You can code (Python, JavaScript, or similar) and have built things yourself, whatever your path since.

  • Experience in a technical client-facing role: deployment, implementation, solutions engineering, professional services, or software engineering in a B2B/SaaS context.

  • Strong fluency with today's AI tooling. You prototype and build with AI naturally, and you can bring the team up to speed.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and a solid grasp of networking and security basics.

  • A swiss-army-knife problem solver: resourceful, autonomous, comfortable juggling multiple projects with incomplete information.

  • Excellent communication in English, with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bonus points:

  • Experience in sports, media, broadcast or video workflows

  • A genuine passion for sports and technology

We know many people hesitate to apply if they don’t meet every single requirement on a job description. If you’re interested in ScorePlay but not sure you tick all the boxes, we’d still love to hear from you, this could be the start of a great long-term collaboration.
