Scale Tech is hiring on behalf of a leading fintech client that is transforming into a fully data-driven digital neobank. They are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of their Data Warehouse and Data Architecture, ensuring scalability and supporting ambitious growth across multiple markets.

What you'll do

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the data warehouse and data architecture, ensuring scalability and efficiency
  • Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for analytical and operational needs
  • Develop and manage data integrations across internal and external systems
  • Ensure high data quality and strong data governance through validation and monitoring best practices
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, accessible data
  • Use Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, dbt, and Apache Superset to build and enhance data infrastructure

Required experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery
  • Experience using dbt for data transformation and modeling
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Practical experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Familiarity with Apache Superset or other data visualization tools
  • Experience with modern development tools (Git, Jira, Docker, etc.)
  • Experience in banking or fintech is an advantage
