Application Solution Architect
Location: Plano, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end application architecture aligned with business and technology goals.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using modern architectural principles.
- Lead application modernization initiatives, including microservices and cloud-native solutions.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, infrastructure, and security teams throughout the SDLC.
- Define architecture standards, best practices, and technical roadmaps.
- Review solution designs and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of software development or application architecture experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Application Architect.
- Strong experience designing enterprise applications and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with or strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native application design.
- Familiarity with container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, EKS, or similar cloud technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and modern software engineering practices.
- AWS certifications are a plus but not required.
