Job Description/Responsibilities

Western Son Distillery is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to support quality and food safety efforts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for evaluating raw materials and finished products, conducting audits, and providing real-time feedback to production teams. You’ll play a key role in maintaining product integrity, supporting compliance standards, and driving continuous improvement across the operation.

What You’ll Do

• Perform inspections and testing on raw materials and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met
• Conduct routine audits on production processes and provide feedback to frontline teams
• Document quality results, deviations, and corrective actions using company systems
• Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to improve product quality
• Partner with Production and Quality teams to maintain food safety and compliance standards

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of experience in quality assurance, quality control, lab, or related field
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and analyze data accurately
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field
• Experience in manufacturing, beverage, or CPG environments
• Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP, FSSC, or ISO

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to fumes, noise, and varying conditions
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work overtime as needed

The hourly range for this role is $22.91 hourly to start with increases based on performance. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.
