Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer (SDE - 3)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Engineering Planning & Design:
• Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and ensure that cloud-based applications and services are deployed consistently and reliably.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure for applications and services using cloud computing platforms (AWS).
• Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and security assessments to ensure the robustness and resilience of cloud infrastructure
• Engineering Development
• Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Deploy, configure, and optimize Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications.
• Monitor cloud-based services to ensure optimal performance, availability, scalability, and security. Implement corrective measures as needed.
• Utilize Python for scripting and automation tasks, as well as for building custom tools and integrations.
• Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana, and other monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to cloud infrastructure and deployment processes in a timely and effective manner.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Team Development
• Maintain knowledge of emerging cloud technologies and trends and incorporate them into the organization's cloud strategy to ensure competitiveness and effectiveness.
• Act as a subject matter expert for cloud computing, providing guidance and support to other teams as needed.
• Defining career paths for team members and helping them grow with regular coaching and mentoring.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or IT
• 6-8 years of experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS.

Must have:

• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS (certification is a plus).
• Experience with AWS services like EKS, EC2, ECS, S3, ELB, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFront, ECR, Lambda, RDS. 
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python.
• Strong experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management concepts in cloud environments.
