QA Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in both manual and automated testing, with the ability to quickly integrate into our existing automation framework. In the short term, this role will primarily focus on manual testing to support immediate project needs. Over time, the successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our test automation capabilities and contributing to the team’s AI-driven quality initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts

• Perform thorough functional, regression, and user acceptance testing

• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle

• Strong understanding of test environments across various projects

• Design and implement test automation frameworks and scripts

• Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action

• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies

• Mentor junior QA team members and promote best practices in software testing

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging testing technologies

Required Skills and Experience

• 3-5+ years of experience in software quality assurance

• Proven experience in automated testing

• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

• Proven experience in testing complex integrated systems

• Experience with test case design, execution, and defect tracking

• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong team player who contributes positively to company culture

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Detailed Skillset

Manual Testing

• Expert-level proficiency in creating and executing manual test cases

• Experience with exploratory testing techniques

• Strong understanding of various testing types (e.g., functional, regression, integration, system)

• Familiarity with usability and user acceptance testing

Test Automation

• Experience in automated testing using Cypress Framework

• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for test automation (e.g., TypeScript or JavaScript)

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG)

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automated tests

Tools & Technologies

• Proficiency in using test management tools preferably AIO Test Management

• Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI)

Database & SQL

• Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL queries for test data management

Performance & Security Testing

• Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)

• Basic understanding of security testing principles

Additional Skills

• Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Familiarity with mobile testing (iOS and Android)

• Knowledge of accessibility testing principles

Nice-to-Have Skills

• ISTQB certification or equivalent

• Experience with cloud testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
