Data Scientist – Focus Deep Learning (x|f|m) - Hybrid

We are looking for a Data Scientist – Focus Deep Learning (x|f|m) for the Central Data Platform & AI department at Sartorius Corporate Administration GmbH.
In this role, you will work on cutting-edge AI solutions to tackle complex business challenges and other real-world scenarios, focusing on applying advanced machine techniques to shape the future with us. This position is available for full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at our headquarters in Madrid, Goettingen or at our site in Berlin with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for training, optimizing and deploying advanced machine learning models, utilizing deep learning frameworks, to solve complex business challenges in the areas of image classification or object detection

• This also includes researching and testing innovative AI methods with a focus on areas such as natural language processing (NLP), reinforcement learning or deep learning

• Working with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-powered automation, optimization and improvement of business processes

• You will be responsible for building scalable machine learning pipelines and ensuring the robustness and reproducibility of models as well as compliance with internal and external standards

• You will drive innovation in advanced AI applications, from data pre-processing and feature engineering to the use of state-of-the-art algorithms

What will convince us

• You have a successfully completed degree with a major in mathematics, computer science, physics or a related field with specialization or extensive experience in machine learning

• A background or previous focus on life science applications is also an advantage

• Proven professional experience in the development and deployment of machine learning models with in-depth knowledge of NLP, reinforcement learning and deep learning techniques

• Deep understanding of Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Scikit-learn is required

• You are familiar with cloud-based machine learning environments such as Azure ML or Databricks

• Experience with generative AI is a plus

• You are characterized by a high level of curiosity, a willingness to experiment and the ability to apply advanced algorithms to solve real-world problems

• Your profile is rounded off by fluency in German and English
