This position is for the PagoNxt Payments team. We are currently extending our cloud native payments processing platform to Santander banks and other financial institutions, with the aim of providing a single access to most domestic and international payment methods at global scale.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Head of software engineering, you will:

  • To run and growth and SW engineering team: “Develop and evolution of the Payments Platform”
  • Oversee the software development process, manage software engineers, and ensure the quality of software products.
  • Drives the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.
  • Being the main responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision of the product.
  • Participate in the design of the overall technical vision for a specific solution to a business problem
  • Mentor IT Engineering Leads at any technical aspect
  • Identify, drive, and optimize technical and business process flows
  • Communicate with product organisation, platform and main stakeholders regarding payments platform evolution

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 10 years managing IT SW Engineering teams
  • Experience working with systems, following CI / CD / DevOps practices

EDUCATION

  • Language skills - English (fluid written and oral), Spanish would be a plus
  • Degree not required. But preference for computer science or computer engineering.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • High communication skills
  • High analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Microservices architectures, API Design, REST APIs
  • Basics of Cloud computing (AWS preferred)
  • Knowledge of distributed architectures and the challenges they entail
  • Experience working in an Agile way would be a plus
