Our Tech Team at Santander UK is growing and we are looking for an QA automation Tester who will play a key role in ensuring projects (change initiatives), meet objectives on time. You’ll ensure that changes are made efficiently, with minimum risk to ensure our service remains as efficient as possible for both colleagues and customers.

The difference you’ll make:

• Designing, developing, executing and maintaining test scripts
• Ensuring test coverage for all business data scenarios and requirements
• Establishing and implementing test strategies
• Defining and delivering Automation solutions and standards for the wider Customer Comms team
• Evaluating the suitability of test automation tools
• Supporting other Automation/Manual Testers within the team

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

• Working knowledge of agile software development practices and preparing regression packs, data conditioning and experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Confluences
• Extensive experience as a Quality Assurance Support focusing on testing functional and non-functional areas of an application
• Designing test strategy/test plans for projects by scoping out all test activities required
• Writing SQL queries to obtain test data
• Experience in automated testing of web services, API’s and web applications
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using tools such as Gitlab, GitHub, Jenkins

It would also be nice for you to have:

• Customer Communication experiences
• ISTQB Certification or equivalent
• Inspire/CGW/BDP Knowledge  
• Java and Selenium, BDD Cucumber

What else you need to know:

This role is a permanent position to be based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
