SCIB Global CIO is looking for a Backend Developer on Big Data Technologies based in our Malaga office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As part of SCIB IT design, develop and test software. Your primary duties and responsibilities include directing and participating in programming activities, monitoring and evaluating system performance, and designing and implementing new programs and features.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

• Design and development of BigData solutions

• Definition of good development practices, automatic testing and deployment.

• Actively work on optimization and efficiency of software development processes.

• Implementation of appropriate alerts and metrics to measure solutions.

• In addition to developing, you must collaborate in the technical design of the solutions to comply with the BigData reference architecture framework for SCIB.

• Guarantee that the software has the necessary quality both in maintenance and in the new software that is developed.

• Implement software quality controls.

EXPERIENCE

Knowledge of the skills required below, or failing that Bachelor's/Degree/Master's degree in Mathematics, Engineering (Telecommunications/Computer Science), Statistics, Physics or similar

Technical skills (Hard skills / languages ​​/ Minimum knowledge

Techniques: Spark, Java, Scala, Python, UNIX, SQL, Rest/JSON, Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Hive, Kafka, NoSQL.

New Technologies: BigData / Spring Boot / Testing / Cloud / OpenShift / Docker / Kubernetes

OTHER INFORMATION

Languages: English

Other relevant information (Ex: Trips, others)

- Strong interest in the latest technological trends

- Good planning and communication skills, with ease in working as a team

- Problem-solving mentality and analytical ability. Creativity and logic to establish effective metrics
