Data Science Intern

This position is for a 10-week Summer Internship.  The RB&T Summer Intern will support a line of business support our Consumer Business Bank Strategy and Delivery within Retail Banking and Transformation.

This 2025 Summer Internship is for undergraduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and May 2026.

This internship position is located in:

• Boston, MA.

Essential Functions:

The intern will work in our Data & Analytics Center of Excellence (DA-CoE) team, that focuses on the following activities:

• Develop and implement new client segments to support marketing work stream
• Maintain and enhance the health of existing client segments
• Create and track KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
• Provide data driven insights to refine and optimize campaign targeting
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Utilize analytics tool and programming languages to drive decision-making

Requirements:

• An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between December 2025 - Spring 2026

• Major in a quantitative discipline or significant coursework in data science / statistics / mathematics / economics
• A cumulative GPA or 3.0 or above
• Excellent written and verbal English language skills
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint
• Skills preferred: SQL, Python, SAS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team player with effective collaboration skills
• Know of or willingness to learn agile working methods
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced market environment
• Solid professional and personal work ethic
• Ability to work independently on special projects
• Ability to work in an environment that supports employees from all backgrounds and fosters an environment of inclusion.

Working Conditions:

• Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
• Travel to multiple facilities may be required.
• May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
• May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
• May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
• Corporate / satellite office role.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Salary: $62,400-$62,400/year
