CONTEXT:

Sanofi CHC India is an essential building block of the broader Sanofi CHC strategy, in its ambition to become the best FMCH company in & for the world, and to deliver sustainable and steady organic growth.

Sanofi India also operates in a market that is shifting, moving from a pure pharma / HCP led business, becoming more and more consumer driven and brand-led, adopting the full engagement model from CPG (Consumer Package Goods).

In this market, the development of Sanofi CHC India

Includes the development of its key brands, like Allegra, Enterogermina, Dulcolax, Depura, Combiflam. Could welcome further investments for growth, such as GeoXpansions from brands of the broader Sanofi CHC portfolio and/or local BD & M&A activities

Sanofi India is also made-up with 2 legal entities of which one is listed on the Indian public stock market.

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting directly to Chief Strategy & Corporate Affairs Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of Sanofi CHC India, consistently with the broade Sanofi CHC strategy. You will be responsible for spearheading the identification of Sanofi India growth opportunities, the definition and the implementation of its strategic plan that will strengthen our market position and drive sustainable success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth trajectory. This position is highly connecting with all parts of the organization, and in particular with global finance, Sanofi Group M&A, global communication, as well as global public affairs, as well as all functions of the division.

This role includes a great understanding of India market dynamics & insights, in order to inform key choices for growth, key capabilities to develop in India, all translated into a transformation plan with clear strategy initiatives, in order to become a the best FMCH company in & for India.

The role will also identify inorganic opportunities (JV/Partnering, M&A), in coordination with global strategy & BD governance.

This role also includes strategic support related to the Indian listed entity.

It will be a member of the India extended leadership team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Sanofi India CHC growth story & rationale: Develop and build insights reinforcing Sanofi India growth ambition, in line and supporting and global Sanofi CHC strategy, together with Finance, Communication, Growth Hub & Investor Relations departments and advise on how brand are building their own repeatable growth model.
  • Strategic Planning: in high interaction with the Finance team, develop and refine the overall India strategy, long-term objectives, and business goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies across departments and ensure cohesive implementation, including high level.
  • Specific strategic initiatives: translate effectively insights into real impact, embarking internal and external stakeholders on right strategic directions, making it happen. Both at India and Global level.
  • BD Management: identify and propose inorganic opportunities on M&A, incubation, partnership, or capability acquisition. Shape business case, managing investment partner/eco-system and governance BD process.
  • India-Global Interaction: help to bridge India story with global strategy and help drive India presence and understanding among global community. Mutual reapply best practices. As a member of India extended leadership team, offer strategic perspective towards macro market dynamic.
  • Strategic support for India listed entity: support local IR, GM & Finance, for the strategic components related to Indian listed entity governance & communications.

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is required (an MBA or advanced degree is preferred).

Experience & knowledge:

  • Strategic Vision: You have at least 6-10 years of experience, of which 3-5 years in consulting. Some experience in BD & M&A related activities is a plus. You have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies to drive growth.
  • Market & Business Acumen: You possess strong analytical skills to interpret complex market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Financial Acuity: You are proficient in financial modeling and analysis and capable of evaluating business opportunities from a financial perspective.
  • Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in crafting corporate or financial presentations that can influence internal & external high-level stakeholders at all levels. You have the ability to present complex ideas effectively and in a simple manner.
  • Leadership & stakeholder management: You have demonstrated leadership skills with the ability foster collaboration, and drive performance while engaging teams transversally and across all levels of the organization.
