Position Summary

As more viewers transition to streaming and Connected TV (CTV) platforms, traditional advertisements evolve from passive consumption to engaging and interactive experiences. Envision shoppable advertisements that enable users to scan a QR code and purchase products instantaneously, gamified experiences that render advertisements enjoyable and captivating, and flawless performance across millions of devices.

Role and Responsibilities

As an Intern Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to engage in a significant challenge aimed at developing and enhancing Samsung’s existing Deeplink framework. This advancement will facilitate user access to different Samsung TV Plus channels through Deeplink functionality, leading to increased user engagement, improved customer experience, and a direct influence on TV Plus revenue streams. Furthermore, you will have the chance to collaborate on the interactive advertising solution, deepen your understanding of Samsung’s Deeplink framework, and make a substantial contribution to the project.

You will collaborate with seasoned and dedicated programmers as a member of a team within a broader advertising engineering organization characterized by a robust technical culture.

The technology stack comprises a combination of JavaScript, ReactJS, GitHub, Tizen Studio, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and Go.
 

Role and Responsibilities

As a member of the team, you will be expected to:

• Participate in daily stand-up meetings to develop software within a two-week sprint cycle.

• Develop a straightforward application that associates a Channel centered around a specific theme, such as Christmas movies, and creates deep links to other channels with similar themes on Samsung TV Plus.

• Compose unit tests to facilitate support for the developed application.

• Prepare a comprehensive design and documentation regarding the existing deep link framework and delineate how to utilize it to establish deep links to channels.

Skills

• Enrolled in an undergraduate course in computer science or related discipline.

• Have a solid foundation in computer science and data structures, algorithms

• Proficient in specialized programming languages, including but not limited to JavaScript, the React framework, and Go.

• Demonstrates a deep enthusiasm for technology and a strong desire to acquire new knowledge.

• Exhibits exceptional collaborative skills, functioning effectively as a team player.

• Possesses robust time management capabilities, successfully delivering software projects in partnership with teams.

• Adept in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal interactions.
