About the role:

Samsara is searching for a highly adaptable, motivated, and execution-oriented Senior Executive Assistant. This EA will directly work with two to three VPs within our Business Systems Team and will be responsible for executing business-related administrative duties such as calendaring, travel, expenses, event planning, and ad hoc project management. The ideal candidate is self-directed, a fast learner capable of managing a varied workload from multiple inputs, and can prioritize the day-to-day against the bigger picture.

In this role, you’ll report directly to a Business Systems Team executive and collaborate with a team of fellow EAs. Your primary responsibility will be to work alongside your executives to provide top-tier administrative support. 

This role is a remote position open to candidates based in Canada.

In this role, you will: 

  • Manage and optimize multiple executive calendars
  • Plan and book complex travel itineraries
  • Manage all work-related expense reports on your executive’s behalf
  • Create and manage agendas for departmental staff meetings
  • Lead the planning and execution of internal events (offsites, team-building, etc.)
  • Be a representative of your executive, including meeting coordination, email correspondence, and liaising between departments and key stakeholders
  • Anticipate and react to executive requests in an expedient manner 
  • General administrative duties and ad hoc requests as needed 
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant / Administrative Business Partner working at a fast-paced high tech company managing multiple executive global calendars, planning and booking complex global travel itineraries
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail  with the ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize business needs
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to be resourceful, flexible, and proactive with a strong bias to action
  • A strong sense of direction around sensitive scenarios, confidential information
  • Familiarity with tech industry and corporate business structure
  • Friendly and professional demeanor and is excited about contributing to our team culture
  • Experience using G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Expensify, Netsuite, and Slack, or tools like them
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy: Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles.  For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually. 

We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$88,400$114,400 CAD
