About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Slack is looking for a technically strong, highly collaborative, and passionate leader for our Slack Kit & Accessibility engineering team! This team builds and maintains Slack's UI design system and frontend component library (Slack Kit) that powers every surface across Slack, all while championing accessibility as a first-class part of how Slack is built. The team partners closely with design and product engineering teams across the company to ensure new and existing features meet a high bar for usability, consistency, and accessibility.

What you will be doing:

  • With your Product and Design counterparts, drive Slack's accessibility strategy, partnering with teams across Slack to ensure new and existing UX patterns are accessible and usable by everyone, including users relying on screen readers and keyboard navigation.
  • Own and continually evolve Slack Kit, Slack's design system and component library, to deliver a consistent experience for end users while making it fast and easy for designers and engineers across the company to build product features.
  • Help set technical direction and facilitate execution for major Frontend Engineering initiatives, such as modernizing Slack’s CSS architecture.
  • With IC leads, develop clear roadmaps and milestones to enable the team to execute on multi-quarter projects.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and seek out growth opportunities for your team to help them continually level up technically and grow their careers.
  • Build a sustainable high performing team and a work environment that's both supportive and challenging.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years leading software engineering teams.
  • Previous experience as a Senior+ Frontend Software Engineer.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience hiring, mentoring, and leading engineers.
  • Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
  • An understanding of how and where AI software development tooling can be deployed for maximum team impact.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with design systems and/or UI component libraries.
  • Experience championing the needs of people, use cases, or initiatives outside your own lived experience or day-to-day work.
